Victoria Diamond Jubilee Coins Medallions

     These are commemorative coins of the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria . They were issued to mark the 60th anniversary of the accession of the queen. Queen Victoria came to the throne at the age of 18 on the 20th of June 1837. She was the sovereign of the United Kingdom of Britain and Ireland .She was also the first Empress of India of the British Raj from 1st May 1876 until her death in 1901. Her reign lasted for 63 years , 7 months and 2 days to be exact. Thus , it was the longest female monarch in history.   The coins in the pictures are made of gold , silver and copper respectively. Both obverse and reverse are the image of Queen Victoria .The difference is one side is the image of teenage Victoria while the other side is Victoria at her old age.
